In February 2018, Gurudutt Pendyala, PhD, was elected by peers in the Society on NeuroImmune Pharmacology as chair of the Early Career Investigator Travel Award committee.
His goal as the ECITA Committee Chair is “to forge interdisciplinary research and accelerate the bi-directional exchange between early career basic and clinical scientists. Avenues such as the Society on Neuroimmune Pharmacology and International Society for NeuroVirology annual meetings will provide an ideal platform for them to access information, gain insight and perspective from their peers as well as identify helpful resources for advancing their careers."
The leadership role lasts three years.
