April Re-Imagining U courses set

Mary Zicafoose

Re-Imagining U and Employee Development at UNMC and the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) are welcoming spring in April with a presentation from artist Mary Zicafoose from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center.

This session, “Transcendence and Expansion: The Arts as Catalysts of Healing,” will examine the critical role of the arts in the complex processes of physical, emotional and spiritual healing. Zicafoose, an Omaha artist, will lead a tour of the art objects within UNMC’s Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center collection that aim to ignite the subtle forces of healing within the human — on the highest of levels. (Attendees can bring bag lunches.)

Some of the other sessions in April will round out attendees’ leadership capabilities, whether it is Leah Georges speaking on the “Power of Followership” on April 19, Bill Lawlor and Megan Frisbee on “Business Services Training” on April 11 or Aileen Warren on “Connecting to Our Values” on April 23. For those who haven’t tried a course from Re-Imagining U yet, any of these would be a great way to be introduced to the program.
