Colleagues with a balance remaining in their flexible spending account (FSA) for 2017 must submit claims before March 30 or reimbursement will be forfeited.
Eligible dates of service for 2017 expenses are Jan. 1, 2017 through Dec. 31, 2017.
Claims must be submitted to WageWorks in order to receive reimbursement.
As a reminder, employees enrolled in the University of Nebraska, Blue Cross Blue Shield medical and/or dental plans, may go on to nebraskablue.com, under MyBlue and print out/save their “Explanation of Benefits” summary for the entire year. The “Explanation of Benefits” summary can then be submitted for documentation.
Also, a summary of all prescriptions for the entire year may be obtained through an employee’s pharmacy. However, due to HIPAA, employees will need to make this request in person. Employees enrolled in the University of Nebraska, CVS Caremark prescription plan, may go on the Caremark site, and print out/save a summary of their prescription claims for the entire year. This can then be submitted for documentation.
To get reimbursed, dates of service must have been incurred during the 2017 calendar year. Please do not use your Wageworks flex-spending debit card to submit 2017 claims. The card can only be used in the current calendar year.
To check your balance and/or submit a claim, please take the following actions:
- Log on to Firefly. For help with user names or passwords, call 402-559-BUZZ (2899).
- Click on the Employee Self Service tile.
- Click the WageWorks tile.
- Select the “Claims and Activity” link to submit claim(s) online.
