Tell us a bit about what you do here at UNMC.
I’m an education researcher with the Interprofessional Academy of Educators and associate professor in the UNMC College of Public Health, Department of Health Promotion. I teach courses in qualitative research methods and mixed methods research as well as provide our members of the academy with research support and instruction on education methods.

“Innovation” is one of UNMC’s brand values. Tell us about a time you’ve seen innovation at UNMC.

A key innovation I have seen at UNMC is the expanded creation and production of e-learning modules. These modules are not only a way to provide education for our students, but through the E-gallery they can be shared with others outside of UNMC which is one way of promoting the high quality education we have at UNMC.

What is your favorite winter activity?

  • I tune pianos.

My dad worked security at Grace University after he retired from Western Electric many years ago. He loved chatting with and getting to know some of the people there. Welcome aboard to UNMC.

Happy and honored to work with and learn from you! You have such extensive experience in qualitative research methodology and you've worked with one of the most well-known grounded theory researchers! Also, I didn't know this was your retirement job 🙂
