I have had the opportunity to work with John most of his 37 years in his role as university attorney. In fact, some very unusual legal work that we did together that brings a smile to my face as I think about it. John is one of the most respected and honest individuals that I know. He is a great attorney. He listens, he analyzes, he develops options and then offers alternatives for resolution. I was always glad that he was on my side. He truly values people.

John, you have been a great asset to the University. You will be missed. Enjoy your retirement.

Congratulations, John. Unfortunately, there is no way for me to get to Lincoln to join in your festivities. I think back and appreciate the work we did together. Thank you for making me feel safe. Enjoy your retirement.
