The UNMC College of Allied Health Professions was awarded first place in the Small Business Corporate Team Award for the 2107 Trek Up the Tower at the WELLCOM annual awards luncheon in November.

The luncheon recognized more than 30 of the Midlands’ healthiest companies. WELLCOM has partnered with the American Heart Association and the American Diabetes Association in recognizing organizations who achieved excellence at the workplace through wellness initiatives.

“The companies recognized during the Excellence in Worksite Wellness Awards Luncheon are to be celebrated not only for achieving a prestigious award, but also for providing a culture of health for their employees,” said Rebecca Vinton, president and CEO of WELLCOM. “All the award winners have achieved a level of excellence that truly sets them apart in making our community a healthier place to work, live and play.”
