UNMC’s College of Public Health was ranked No. 2 out of 50 overall best online master of public health degree programs in the U.S.
The most comprehensive list of the best online master of public health degree programs ranking was published in the Master’s Programs Guide of 2018. The University of South Florida took the No. 1 spot.
Christine Arcari, Ph.D., associate dean for academic and student affairs, College of Public Health, said that a well-prepared public health workforce is key to transforming the health of the community, state and world.
“Our online degree options make our programs accessible and responsive to the needs of students whether you live in a rural town in Nebraska or overseas,” she said. “We strive to make sure our online students feel connected to their instructors, fellow students and community, and turn learners into public health leaders.”
Schools and programs were evaluated based on publicly available information about affordability, reputation, flexibility and accreditation. Sources used include: the Council on Education for Public Health, Public Health Accreditation Board, the American Public Health Association, U.S. News and World Report, U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics and the websites of schools offering online MPH degree programs.
