The University of Nebraska at Omaha School of Music will be providing holiday music at UNMC’s Truhlsen Eye Institute this Tuesday, as well as Dec. 12 and 19.
The Truhlsen Eye Institute’s baby grand piano was donated by Gerald Christensen, M.D., professor in the UNMC Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences. This will be the second year for the “Christensen Holiday Sounds of the Season” program.
Performers will include:
Tuesday (Dec. 5), 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.:
- Yungseo Choi, a UNO non-degree student from Korea; and
- Gabbi Yabut, a junior and a piano performance major at UNO.
Dec. 12, 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.:
- Wenlin Peng, a UNO student from China seeking a master’s degree in piano performance;
- Lingyi Guo, a UNO student from China seeking a master’s degree in piano performance; and
- Gabe Windham, a UNO freshman piano performance major from Omaha.
Dec. 19, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.:
- a sing-along of holiday favorites;
- Tianyu Luo, a UNO freshman piano performance major from China;
- Nick Swerczek, a UNO first-year student from Omaha; and
- Anahi Soto-Gama, a UNO first-year music education student from Omaha.
