iEXCEL will host a series of three monthly technology showcases designed to provide UNMC/Nebraska Medicine faculty, staff and students the opportunity to learn more about iEXCEL and the Davis Global Center.
Attendees will experience a sampling of visualization and simulation technologies currently available to enhance learning and research.
During this month’s open house, the featured technology will include the iBench (intuitive stereoscopic 3-D system responsive to movements and actions) and SimMan 3G (advanced patient simulator). Mark your calendars for the following sessions:
- Oct. 30 from 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. in the Sorrell Center Commons, second floor
- Nov. 9 from 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. in the Durham Research Center Atrium
- Dec. 14 from 11 a.m. -1:30 p.m. in University Tower, Private Dining Room B
Simulation Technology Demonstration & Evaluation Event rescheduled
The iEXCEL team invites the campus to view and evaluate the latest in simulation technology under consideration for the Davis Global Center including advanced simulators and trainers.
The two-day open house is Nov. 2 and 3 from 7:30 to 10:30 a.m. and noon to 3:30 p.m. in the iEXCEL Visualization Hub (Sorrell Center, Room 1012).
This event was originally planned for September until weather conditions in Florida impacted the scheduled vendors.
