Staying Balanced:
I would be lying if I said I was always good at staying balanced, however, my family is a big help in keeping me calm and reminding me that while the days can be long and difficult now, it will all be worth it in the end. Even on the hard days, they are always so encouraging!
I also like to keep up the pre-test tradition a few friends and I started of getting ice cream the day before each major exam. It's something easy, but always brightens our day and allows us to enjoy each other's company without studying for a while.
Three things people may not know about me:
1. I am passionate about medicine and wellness in underserved communities, and I helped start a health education task force at inCOMMON, a community center here in Omaha, about 3.5 years ago.
2. I have an Etsy shop where I sell custom hand-embroidery pieces all over the country.
3. Halloween is my favorite holiday, and I still dress up in family-coordinated costumes with my parents to hand out candy!
