In celebration of the UNMC College of Nursing’s 100th anniversary, a coffee-table book has been created to showcase the history of the college. The book, titled, “A Century of Academic Nursing Excellence: Transforming the Future,” features historical information and photos from the college’s 1917-1987 book and continues through present day.
Only 200 books have been printed. Books can be purchased for $32 at the UNMC Bookstore or online. The book also will be available for purchase at the Centennial Gala.
“We wanted to do something memorable – a contribution for the future that acknowledges the important parts of our history chronology,” said Juliann Sebastian, Ph.D., dean of the UNMC College of Nursing. “The administration and faculty have not shied away from taking bold steps through the years. Our history is an important part of Nebraska history.”
