Throughout October, these free activities and more are planned to celebrate Innovation and Research Month. The activities are sponsored by UNeMed, McGoogan Library, Nebraska Medicine, Faculty Development, Interprofessional Academy of Educators and the Vice Chancellor for Research Office.

“The mission of UNMC and Nebraska Medicine includes leading the world in transforming lives through innovative research,” said Chris Kratochvil, M.D., associate vice chancellor for clinical research at UNMC. “Research and Innovation Month gives us a chance to celebrate our research successes, such as our record $117 million in research funding for fiscal year 2017, as well as opportunities to highlight research resources while educating members of our academic health system about research.”

Faculty, staff and students can view a master schedule and access a downloadable list of events on the Celebrating Research and Innovation website. Some events will be livestreamed and/or require registration.
