Retirement tea set for Paul Tomich, M.D.

A retirement tea for Paul Tomich, M.D., professor in the UNMC Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, will be held from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Sept. 26 in the Linder Reading Room, Sorrell Center, Room 2001.

“Dr. Tomich is one the finest ambassadors for obstetrics and gynecology and women’s health imaginable,” said Carl Smith, M.D., chair of the department and Olson Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology. “He develops long-lasting relationships with many students and residents in our discipline and serves as a superb role model.

“Unfailingly positive about our specialty, he also provides a realistic view of the opportunities and challenges in our discipline,” Dr. Smith said. “Dr. Tomich will be difficult to replace. We wish him well in a much deserved retirement.”

Light refreshments will be served. The campus is invited to stop in and wish Dr. Tomich well in his retirement.
