The Chihuly Sanctuary inside the Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center will reopen on Sept. 20.
Repairs began Aug. 30 after water came into the sanctuary through an exterior exit doorway on level four of the sanctuary during a June 29 rainstorm, damaging some areas of the wood flooring. No artwork was affected inside or outside the sanctuary.
Leslie’s Healing Garden and the Chihuly Atrium on the second floor remain open.
Preventive measures have been taken to ensure that future rain events of such magnitude do not result in a similar outcome.
