Health care providers, students, and all those interested in transgender health should plan to attend the upcoming GenderWorks Conference at the Omaha Hilton on Oct. 13.

Early registration has been extended to Sept. 13, and general registration closes Oct. 6.

This multidisciplinary conference will offer tracks in medical care, mental health care and education/policy. It will feature national and local experts. Keynote speakers will be Asa Radix, M.D., and Anneliese Singh, Ph.D.

Continuing education credits are available for physicians, nurses, social workers and mental health providers.

This conference has been planned by the local organization Professional Transgender Resource Network of Nebraska, which includes professionals from medicine, mental health, education and law.

The conference is co-sponsored by UNMC and UNO.

Attendees of all levels of experience with the transgender population are welcome.
