Attend simulation technology demos

The Dr. Edwin Davis & Dorothy Balbach Davis Global Center for Advanced Interprofessional Learning.

The campus community is invited to attend upcoming demonstrations to see the latest in simulation technology under consideration for the Dr. Edwin Davis & Dorothy Balbach Davis Global Center for Advanced Interprofessional Learning. Faculty, staff and students are invited to drop by any of the open sessions scheduled for this week, as well as early September.

The Davis Global Center, which will be completed in November 2018, will house the iEXCEL program to engage learners in real-life scenarios using simulation and virtual reality technology. Construction crews currently are pouring the second of five levels.

For a demonstration and opportunity to evaluate the technology, including advanced simulators/trainers (ultrasound and procedural), stop by the iEXCEL Visualization Hub (Sorrell Center, Room 1012) and the Sorrell Center Clinical Simulation Lab (Room 1039) during the open sessions listed below:

  • Tuesday – 4 to 6 p.m.
  • Wednesday – 7:30 to 10:30 a.m. or noon to 3:30 p.m.
  • Sept 7 – Surgical only – 7:30 to 10:30 a.m. or noon to 3:30 p.m. (Sorrell Center, Room 1012 only)
  • Sept. 8 – Surgical and ultrasound – 7:30 to 10:30 a.m. or noon to 2:30 p.m.
