UNMC will hold a conference on breastfeeding on Aug. 23.
An early bird fee of $115 is available to those who register by July 26. After this date, the registration fee is $140 with deadline of Aug. 16. (Students and residents can register for $50.) No registrations will be accepted at the door.
The conference — “Breastfeeding: Baby’s Natural Choice” – is sponsored by the Olson Center for Women’s Health. It will enable the learner to increase breastfeeding success through focused training on topics such as breastfeeding physiology, factors that affect breastfeeding decision making and subsequent success, breastfeeding techniques and best practice support strategies.
It is open to physicians (OB/GYN, pediatric, and family medicine), nurses, lactation consultants, registered dietitians, medical nutrition therapists, residents, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurse midwives, breastfeeding advocates, social workers and students.
