The UNMC College of Nursing hosted summer camps in each of its five divisions across the state in June.

The camps were funded by a two-year, $665,266 U.S. Health Resource Services Administration grant to inspire high school students interested in pursuing careers in nursing with ongoing mentoring, shadowing and other activities throughout the school year.

Students experienced a variety of clinical educational activities that exposed them to the many facets of nursing, including hearing from health professionals at health care facilities.
