Take a look around you. Do you work with anyone that consistently goes above and beyond the call of duty? Now is your chance to show your appreciation and nominate a well-deserving colleague for a Silver U or Gold U Award.
Silver U
The Silver U Award is given annually to approximately 72 employees whose overall performance is above and beyond the scope of their position. Awardees receive a Silver U pin, a clothing item with the Silver U logo, and an invitation to the Silver U luncheon with the chancellor.
Gold U
The Gold U is awarded six times a year to employees who consistently deliver outstanding performance and service to UNMC. Recipients of the Gold U are honored at a breakfast with the chancellor, receive a Gold U pin, $100 cash award, an invitation to the Annual Service Award Dinner in June, recognition at a Board of Regents meeting that includes a Board of Regents “Kudos” certificate, and a career development award of up to $2,500.
