The UNMC Department of Human Resources has released a list of 10 retirements spanning the period between April 1 and June 1. One of the retirees, Don Dickmeyer, facilities management and planning — architecture and engineering, was only one week shy of 44 years of service. Five other employees — Carl Gumbiner, M.D., Sydney Clausen, Pamela McCright, Bernice Yates, Ph.D., and Carol Lomneth, Ph.D. — had more than 20 years of service.

- Don Dickmeyer, facilities management and planning-architecture and engineering, retired April 29 (start date May 7, 1973)
- Carl Gumbiner, M.D., pediatrics cardiology, retired May 1 (start date Dec. 1, 1987)
- Sydney Clausen, genetics, cell biology and anatomy, retired April 1 (start date Sept. 5, 1989)
- Pamela McCright, procurement, retired May 6 (start date April 1, 1990)
- Elizabeth (Bette) Lempka, College of Dentistry-Lincoln, retired May 15 (start date May 13, 1992)
- Bernice Yates, Ph.D., College of Nursing-Omaha Division, will retire June 1 (start date Aug. 15, 1994)
- Carol Lomneth, Ph.D., genetics, cell biology and anatomy, retired April 1 (start date Sept. 1, 1996)
- Judith Kenyon, Munroe-Meyer Institute developmental neuroscience, retired May 1 (start date June 1, 1999)
- Ivan Stoyanov, Munroe-Meyer Institute cytogenetics, retired April 1 (start date Aug. 16, 1999)
- Michael Faber, facilities management and planning – architecture and engineering, retired May 3 (start date July 2, 2001)
- Nyla Frisch, College of Dentistry-Lincoln clinic administration, retires May 12 (start date Oct. 18, 2006)
