I’m happy to report that the votes have been counted, and the faculty in the UNMC College of Medicine have voted overwhelmingly to move forward with curriculum redesign. The vote was decisive – 91 percent of faculty favored curriculum redesign.
As you know, the new curriculum is in its final stages of design and is scheduled to begin implementation this fall. I’m excited to see that our faculty is on board with this important change that will allow us to teach our students the skills they will need to excel at the practice of medicine in the decades ahead.
Finally, I want to express my personal thanks to each member of the faculty, as well as our staff, who have spent countless hours over the last several years working on the details of the new curriculum. This would not have been possible without the commitment of each you!
