In recognition of Minority Health Month, the Race, Inclusion, Diversity & Equity (RIDE) initiative and the Center for Reducing Health Disparities in the UNMC College of Public Health is hosting David Acosta, M.D., as the featured grand rounds speaker on April 27.
Dr. Acosta’s presentation, “Beyond Disparities: Action-Oriented Solutions for Diversity, Inclusion and Equity,” will be held from noon to 1 p.m. with a 30-minute post discussion panel in the Maurer Center for Public Health, Room 3013.
No registration is needed and lunch will be provided for the first 60 participants.
Dr. Acosta is the chief diversity and inclusion officer for the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC). Dr. Acosta was previously the senior associate dean for equity, diversity and inclusion at the University of California Davis School of Medicine before joining the AAMC in February.
