How I fell in love with med/peds:
I initially started residency planning on doing pediatrics, as I always have loved working with children. My desire to do pediatrics was affirmed when I did my pediatric rotation in medical school. However, during my time at the VA during my internal medicine rotation during medical school, I discovered that I loved the intellectual challenge of internal medicine. I then met Dr. Jennifer Parker, who helped me discover med/peds, which gave me the opportunity to combine my love of working with children with my interest in the intellectual challenges that internal medicine brings.
