Speaker to discuss narrative elements in research writing

Rafael Luna, Ph.D., will hold a seminar on “The Art of Scientific Storytelling” at 11 a.m. Friday in the Eppley Science Hall, Room 3010.

The presentation, designed for students but open to the campus community, will help authors transform their research manuscripts using narrative elements.

Dr. Luna is the executive director of the National Research Mentoring Network at Boston College. He is a leader in the field of scientific communication and the author of “The Art of Scientific Storytelling.” Through the implementation of narrative analytics, he has assisted in the career advancement of biomedical trainees via excellence in scholarship exhibited by publication of peer-reviewed manuscripts, experimental design and delivery of scientific presentations.

The presentation is presented through the Cancer Biology Training Grant.
