The Chinese Cultural Fair will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. on Thursday, February 2, in the Durham Research Center Commons.
Come welcome the Chinese New Year — the Year of the Rooster.
UNMC faculty, staff, and students can:
- taste food and tea;
- try to make wonton dumplings;
- have their name written in Chinese;
- have their photo taken with the New Year Rooster;
- play games;
- taste food;
- learn about major cities in China;
- learn about traditional Chinese medicine, including the cupping therapy used by Olympian Michael Phelps;
- see performances (starting at 3:45 p.m.); and
- sign up for door prizes.
The first 150 participants will receive gifts.
The event is coordinated by the Asia Pacific Rim Development Program, along with UNMC’s Chinese Scholarship Council students. It is co-sponsored by UNMC’s Asia Pacific Rim Development Program, UNMC HR-Employee Relations, Organizational Development & Diversity, and the UNMC-Chinese Scholars and Students Association.
