Talk about your job and what you like best about it:
I am the administrator for rheumatology, and I’m also an HR representative for internal medicine. I am responsible for fiscal and administrative oversight. I work with my division chief on long-range planning and development. I am also responsible for posting staff positions and new hire paperwork for internal medicine. I started in finance with UNMC-P in 2007 (when it was still at the Wells Fargo building) and transferred to UNMC in 2008. I have been fortunate to establish relationships with some wonderful mentors that have taken a chance and invested time in me. I am trying to pay that forward to my staff. Hobbies:
My youngest daughter is a freshman in high school and participates in everything possible, so my current hobby is taking her everywhere.
List three things people may not know about you:
- When I was 10, my father was transferred with Fruehauf Trucking to South Africa. I lived there for almost 6 years.
- I am a mom to two girls and step mom to two sons and a daughter. I have 10 grandchildren and one great granddaughter.
