Annual faculty award nomination deadline March 10

UNMC Chancellor Jeffrey P. Gold, M.D., will recognize faculty for meritorious teaching, service or mentoring.

It’s time to get nominations in for UNMC’s Faculty Senate annual awards.

UNMC Chancellor Jeffrey P. Gold, M.D., will recognize faculty for meritorious teaching, service and mentoring at the meeting, which is set for April 20.

Nominations must be emailed in pdf format no later than March 10 for consideration of the following awards:

  • Outstanding Teacher Award,
  • Spirit of Community Service Award,
  • Outstanding Faculty Mentor of Graduate Students Award, and
  • Faculty Mentor of Junior Faculty.

Persons holding faculty appointments at UNMC are eligible to be nominated for these awards. Students and faculty may submit nominations for the first three awards, but only junior faculty may nominate for the Outstanding Mentor of Junior Faculty Award.

Nomination forms and selection criteria are available on the Faculty Senate web page. Forms also may be obtained from the Office of the Faculty Senate, 559-5132, or by email request.

Nominations must be emailed in pdf format to the Honorary Degrees & Awards Committee, c/o Office of the Faculty Senate.
