A casual retirement reception for Laurie Alvoid will be held from 12:30-1 p.m. today on the third floor of the Administration Center at 40th Street and Dewey Avenue.
Alvoid will be retiring after 29 years in the UNMC Accounts Payable Department.
“Laurie has been a dedicated employee to UNMC for many years,” said Sarah Rowe, accounts payable supervisor. “She has served in accounts payable ensuring tens of thousands of payments have been made promptly and accurately, auditing payments to visiting personnel, working with the state of Nebraska to reissue lost/missing checks and providing customer service to the campus at large. Working with Laurie has been a great pleasure — her knowledge, experience and drive will be dearly missed.”
The campus is invited to attend. Cake will be served.
