Dr. Pozehl profiled as influential professor
Bunny Pozehl, Ph.D., a professor in the UNMC College of Nursing Lincoln Division, recently was profiled in the nursepractitionerschools.com blog, in an article titled “Influential Nebraska NP Professors in Online Programs.” She is listed as an outstanding professor in the field and for her great contributions to academia as well as the rise in online education. Dr. Pozehl teaches advanced practice clinical courses in the adult gerontology graduate program, among others. She received funding from 2012 through 2017 as the principal investigator of the “HEART Camp: Promoting Adherence to Exercise in Heart Failure Patients” project, and has received numerous awards and recognition over the years. She was a Fellow in the American Academy of Nursing (2013) and the American Heart Association (2010), as well as the recipient of the 2013 UNMC Distinguished Scientist Award.
Armstrong named to board of trustees of Grand Island Area Economic Development Corporation
Will Armstrong, a member of the UNMC Board of Counselors, has been named to the board of trustees of the Grand Island Area Economic Development Corporation. Armstrong, a financial adviser with Edward Jones in Grand Island, was born and raised in Grand Island and earned his college degree from Nebraska Wesleyan University. In addition to his involvement in the UNMC Board of Counselors, Armstrong also is active in several other organizations including Heartland United Way, Noon Rotary Club, College Park, Grand Island Chamber, Saint Francis Foundation, and the NET Foundation for Radio and TV.
