On Thursday, EMPOWER will host a panel presentation on “Violence: A Male’s Perspective” from noon to 12:50 p.m. at the Sorrell Center, Room 2010.
Panelists will include:
- Jennifer McCabe of the Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Program (SAPR) from Offutt Air Force Base;
- Caleb Byers, creator of “We Are Not Powerless” and a male-identified survivor of sexual assault; and
- Zac Palmer, men’s program coordinator at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
EMPOWER is a partnership between the Women’s Center for Advancement and the Inter-professional Service Learning Academy, College of Public Health at UNMC.
A lunch from Mangia Italiana and a resource packet will be provided to the first 50 attendees.
