Aileen Warren, assistant vice chancellor and director of human resources, was honored in October by the Women’s Fund of Omaha, which selected her as one of the honorary chairs for this year’s luncheon.
CNN reporter Lisa Ling spoke at the event, which featured a presentation on the prevalence of sex trafficking in Nebraska. UNMC is helping to be part of the solution through partnerships with the Women’s Fund and some research projects.
Twenty UNMC employees and guests were in attendance at the luncheon with Warren and her family.
“I was honored to serve as the co-chair for the 2016 Women’s Fund Luncheon,” Warren said. “The luncheon allows the community to become aware of what the Women’s Fund does as well as raises funds for its programs and services. The Women’s Fund provides invaluable services to the Omaha community and I am proud to be affiliated with the organization.”
UNMC Vice Chancellor for Business and Finance Deb Thomas will mark this honor by hosting a reception for Warren at 3 p.m. Nov. 16 in the Linder Reading Room in the Sorrell Center. The campus is invited to attend.
