MMI’s Dr. Stuberg honored by the Scottish Rite of Omaha
Earlier this month, Wayne Stuberg, Ph.D., associate director of the Munroe-Meyer Institite, was honored by the Scottish Rite Foundation of Omaha with the 2016 Friend of the Scottish Rite Award. The Scottish Rite Foundation is the longtime supporter of MMI’s RiteCare Speech and Language Clinics. In giving the award, the foundation praised Dr. Stuberg for “fostering a collaborative atmosphere among the medical disciplines at the Munroe-Meyer Institute,” noting that “children receive the best care with departments working together to provide excellent and innovative services that are nationally recognized.”
Graphic novelist to sign work at McGoogan Library Nov. 9
Josh Howell, an office associate in the department of emergency medicine, will be signing copies of his graphic novel, “The Fierce Are Fading,” at 4:30 p.m. on Nov. 9 at the McGoogan Library of Medicine.
Howell’s novel, which was recently featured at New York City’s Comic-Con, follows the troubled and tired FBI Agent, Riley Harper, as she stumbles upon a dark secret while tracking a serial killer in Seattle. When she loses her partner, Agent Harper embarks on a mission to uncover the mystery of a secret organization known only to a few as The M.O.R.S. Initiative. It was illustrated by Italian artist Ilaria Apostoli.
