The UNMC Title IX Office and EMPOWER will be holding events the week of Oct. 17-21 to mark “It’s on US” week.
“It’s on US week is a week of action to raise awareness and to prevent sexual assault,” said Carmen Sirizzotti, UNMC Title IX coordinator.
Events include:
Rise to the Occasion – It’s On Us to intervene and don’t be a bystander.
Oct. 19, 7-8 a.m., Sorrell Center Commons area
- Free coffee and donuts.
- Silicone phone (or wallet) pockets with “The Bystander Effect” educational cards will be distributed while supplies last.
It’s on US — Fall Fest
Oct. 20, 3-5 p.m., UNMC ice rink (rain location, Sorrell Center Commons)
Join us for an afternoon filled with activities:
- Build your own caramel apple with lots of topping choices.
- Join us at 4 p.m. for a “human ribbon” photo shoot to raise awareness. Free “UNMC It’s on US” T-shirt for participants.
