    Research/professional interests:

    • Drug design and development for inflammatory diseases and musculoskeletal diseases.
    • Biocompatible polymers for biomedical applications.

    How I fell in love with research:
    Development of new drugs to treat inflammatory diseases and musculoskeletal diseases is a great challenge, and it makes scientists’ research exciting and meaningful.

    Teaching activities:
    Dr. Jia is pursuing teaching opportunities in the areas of medicinal chemistry and organic chemistry. He is currently assisting Dong Wang, Ph.D., in pharmaceutical chemistry for drug delivery and nanomedicine.
