Mobile simulation unit to be on campus July 26

The Simulation in Motion-Nebraska (SIM-NE) mobile simulations unit will be on the UNMC Omaha campus on July 26 and will be open for tours.

The Simulation in Motion-Nebraska (SIM-NE) mobile simulations unit.
The unit, which is equipped to provide mobile simulation training to emergency medical service providers and critical access hospital personnel in rural and frontier counties in Nebraska, will be open for tours from noon to 4 p.m. to celebrate the official announcement of the Simulation in Motion-Nebraska effort by UNMC Chancellor Jeffrey P. Gold, M.D.

SIM-NE is a partnership with The Leona M. and Harry B. Helmsley Charitable Trust.

The unit will be parked at the Sorrell Center. Along with the SIM-NE tours, there will be light refreshments. The following community partners also will have booths in the Sorrell Center’s first-floor atrium:

  • Southeast Nebraska AHEC (Area Health Education Center);
  • Nebraska Department of Health & Human Services EMS (Emergency Medical Services) & Trauma Program
  • UNMC Center for Continuing Education
  • Nebraska EMS Association
  • Helmsley Trust
  • CAE, a company that is considered a global leader in simulation technology.
