Still time to ship out on Durham’s Participants Night

Guests can tour the Durham's newest exhibition, "SHIPWRECK! Pirates and Treasure."

UNMC and Nebraska Medicine employees, UNMC students, and their families are invited for a night of fun at sea at this year’s Durham Participants Night.

When: Monday, July 25, from 5-8 p.m. as part of the Time Travelers program, a partnership between UNMC, Nebraska Medicine and the museum.

Where: Durham Museum, 801 S. 10th St., Omaha.

What: Enjoy a complimentary dinner, mingle with seafaring characters, and create your own ocean landscape — all in celebration of the Durham’s newest exhibition, “SHIPWRECK! Pirates and Treasure.” Step inside Gifford Farm’s STARLAB planetarium to learn how sailors used the night sky to navigate on the high seas. DiVentures will be on hand with scuba gear and videos of shipwreck dives.

Dinner includes a sub sandwich, chips, pasta salad, and beverage (A gluten-free option is available upon request prior to event.)

Register: RSVP by July 18. Please indicate the number of people planning to attend. Admission is for employees, students, and their immediate families only, which includes two adults and dependent children (under 21) of the same household.

An employee or student identification badge must be presented for admittance.
