The E-Learning Program’s next Innovators in Education Showcase will be Thursday, April 21, in the College of Nursing Center for Nursing Science. The event, which runs from 10:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m., is open to all UNMC faculty, staff and students.
The showcase will highlight the most recent projects funded by the E-Learning Program through the Office of Academic Affairs. These projects are unique in the e-learning environment because they were created for students by students. Working with a faculty advisor, the students developed innovative ways to enhance existing curricula for improved learning experiences for their peers.
During the showcase, attendees will have the opportunity to meet the student developers and see live demonstrations of their projects.
Also featured will be faculty members, who were awarded financial support to complete a curricular redesign, demonstrating pilots of their projects. These projects incorporate substantial active learning components in health science education using a combination of e-learning, flipped classrooms, blended learning, and other modalities.
The schedule for the showcase is as follows:
- 10:30 a.m. – Demonstrations of e-learning projects, one through 10
- 11:30 a.m. – Recognition ceremony with Vice Chancellor Dele Davies, M.D.
- 12:30 p.m. – Demonstrations of e-learning projects, 11-20
Food and light refreshments will be served. The event is free, but pre-registration is encouraged. RSVP now to attend the event.
