Tell us a bit about what you do here at UNMC.

I work as a data associate for the Health Professions Tracking Service. Our department is located within the College of Public Health. I help maintain a database of health care professionals that are licensed in the state of Nebraska and Western Iowa. My primary focus is entering data accurately and in a timely manner, as well as various projects.

Commitment to excellence is one of UNMC’s brand values. Tell us of a time you witnessed a person or group committed to excellence at UNMC.
Working within my department as well as within the College of Public Health, I witness my coworkers’ commitment to excellence daily. Whether it’s tackling a particularly challenging project on top of a heavy workload, or planning and working an event put on by the College of Public Health’s Wellness Council, I feel that the people around me always strive for their very best. I’m lucky to be surrounded and supported by people who inspire me to be my best.

What is your favorite winter activity?

I don’t care much for winter at all which gives me the reason to relax inside where it’s warm, play games, snuggle and watch movie’s with my two daughters — Brooke who’s 7 years old and in first grade, and our newest addition to the family, Ashtynn, who’s almost 6 months old!

List three things people may not know about you.

  • Yes, I’m a soccer and dance mom! I enjoy sitting outside and cheering on my oldest, Brooke, at her soccer games in the spring and fall! I also love watching her dance hip hop and clogging year-round.
  • I’m a member of the College of Public Health’s Wellness Council. We just had a Wellness Fair held at the Durham Outpatient Center in January. You might have seen me at the sign-in table!
  • When the weather is nice, if I’m not at a pool with my family and/or friends, we’ll be camping at a lake. We all love the outdoors!
