As a resource for students, faculty and staff, Jennifer Yalof, Psy.D., UNMC’s wellness coordinator, has compiled a set of easily accessible MP3s on techniques to reduce stress and aid relaxation.
“I wanted to offer people easily accessible and simple, yet effective, resources to help encourage stress-reduction,” Dr. Yalof said. “I’m hoping these resources can be used in conjunction with already established resources at UNMC.”
The page includes MP3 presentations in the categories of mindfulness, relaxation and sleep-relaxation techniques, as well as contact information for campus counseling. Individual MP3s include topics such as guided meditation, introduction to gentle yoga and music for relaxation.

Dr. Yalof coordinates wellness activities and helps deliver proactive stress management education to students and residents in all UNMC colleges. As a faculty member, she also assists UNMC in making wellness activities part of the curriculum.
