Tell us a bit about what you do here at UNMC:
As an employment technician, I assist with a variety of employment processes, ranging from assisting applicants, facilitators/administrators with their employment questions, reporting, monthly and bi-annual audits, monitoring background checks, collaborating with the staffing team, updating internal procedures/processes and other projects.

“Being a Trusted Resource” is one of UNMC’s brand values. Tell us of a time you witnessed an example of this at UNMC.

“Being a Trusted Resource” is one of my favorite brand values. I witness it in my job daily when interacting with internal and external customers by phone, email or when they walk in. To ensure that my customers’ experience is positive, there are several things that come to mind when I think of being a trusted resource, and that is having a service attitude to listen first, acknowledge their needs and effectively communicate a resolution.

What is your favorite winter activity?
One of my favorite activities during this time of the year is renting a facility, planning and coordinating a unity potluck bridging family and friends together on Thanksgiving, where there’s plenty of food, fun and fellowship!

List three things people may not know about you.

• I celebrated my 30-year wedding anniversary in July in the beautiful mountains of Colorado, experiencing the casinos in Central City and including a visit to Estes Park.
• I was a VIP guest of comedian Martin Lawrence at the Comedy Works club in Denver, where I got to go back stage and take pictures with the comedian in his dressing room.
• I love aquatic exercises, and my favorite classes are HIT (high intensity training), Zumba and Dance Evolution.
