What sparked your interest in medicine?
I have always had an interest in medicine, although I did not know exactly what path to take. By stepping out of my comfort zone, I was able to find some clarity. After spending time traveling — abroad and domestically — and doing a couple of medical missions, I found the desire to pursue a career in physician assistant studies. The flexibility and opportunity for lateral movement as a PA are what drew me in.

Your favorite study snack is:
Trail mix and sweet potato chips

Three things people may not know about you:

  • My twin sister and I are the youngest of nine children.
  • I am an avid rock climber and plan to get more involved in mountaineering.
  • I would like to eventually spend some time as a practicing PA overseas.
