Reflecting with pride, looking forward in anticipation

August's beam-raising ceremony was a memorable moment for the Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center in 2015.

It’s been a great year for the Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center, and there are exciting times ahead, as well.

In a message to donors, faculty, staff and stakeholders, director Kenneth Cowan, M.D., Ph.D., said 2015 has been a year worth celebrating for the Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center.

UNMC and Nebraska Medicine employees committed $322,000 for the center during the “Proud to Play a Part” campaign.

“We are very grateful for the generous support for our new facility and to expand our programs and research as we create a uniquely beneficial patient experience,” Dr. Cowan said. “In 2016, and when we open our doors in early 2017, we hope you will join us in witnessing this exciting transformation in cancer care.”
