The Metro Omaha Medical Society Public Health Committee is conducting a survey in response to concerns brought forth by area pediatricians regarding difficulty identifying internal medicine and specialists for referral for mid- and late-teen patients wishing to access adult rather than pediatric care.
MOMS is hoping to build a robust database for referrals. It is especially trying to target the following specialties – cardiology, endocrinology, gastroenterology, internal medicine, neurology, pulmonology and rheumatology.
