The UNMC Department of Internal Medicine-Division of Cardiology is hosting a retirement reception from 3-5 p.m. Monday for Thomas Sears, M.D., associate professor of cardiology.
“Tom Sears was one of my favorite attending physicians, and I am also proud to have called him a partner,” said Shikhar Saxena, M.D., assistant professor of internal medicine-cardiology.
“He was a fantastic teacher. His physical exam skills and clinical judgment were the best I have ever seen and I strive to emulate them on daily basis. He was also a true friend and I will miss him greatly. I wish him the best in this new chapter of his life.”
Dr. Sears has been with UNMC since July 1982.
The reception will be held in the University Tower’s Private Dining Rooms A and B, and light refreshments will be offered. The UNMC community is invited to come wish Dr. Sears well.
