A Help section with forms for reporting various types of incidents
is among recent changes to the UNMC mobile app.
The forms, part of several new additions to the app, are designed to facilitate communication from students, faculty and staff as part of UNMC’s ongoing commitment to a welcoming environment.
Students, faculty and staff members may use the forms — anonymously, if they wish — to report grievances or incidents regarding bias, sexual harassment, safety and security, as well as to request help from tech support, student counseling and facilities.
The forms allow students, faculty and staff to confidentially and anonymously report campus incidents or positive experiences.
Crisis contacts by campus also are listed under the Help section of the app.
Several pages of information about inclusion and efforts to enhance diversity and to reduce bias also were added to the Student Services website. The Bias Report Form on the mobile app is duplicated on the website.
Crisis contact information and a mental health screening tool also were added to the Counseling & Student Development Center website.
These changes expand the methods by which members of the UNMC community can share matters they feel need to be elevated or addressed. The forms are not intended to replace direct contact with officials, but instead provide an avenue for reporting campus incidents or positive acts of kindness that anyone might feel need to be shared.
While anonymous reporting is an option, please be aware that should you wish to remain anonymous, follow-up communication cannot be provided. Therefore, some form of contact information is beneficial.
