A 15-member committee has been formed to begin the search for a new chair for the UNMC Department of Emergency Medicine. Craig Walker, M.D., professor and chair of the UNMC Department of Radiology will chair the committee.
The committee will be looking for a replacement for Robert Muelleman, M.D., who announced in September that he would be stepping down after heading emergency medicine for 17 years.
Dr. Muelleman will continue to serve as department chair until a replacement is found. He will remain on the faculty as professor, emergency medicine, after he finishes his chairmanship.
