Take a look around you. You recognize people who are dedicated to UNMC, consistently go above and beyond the call of duty, and whose contribution make UNMC a great place to work. Now take a moment to show your appreciation and nominate those people for the Chancellor’s Gold U Award.
The Gold U is given six times a year to employees who consistently deliver outstanding performance and service to UNMC. In fact, nominations for December’s award close on Nov. 4, so you still have time to submit yours!
Criteria for the Gold U award include:
- Consistently provide outstanding customer service or significantly improve the effectiveness or efficiencies of daily operations.
- Contribute to and support of the mission and vision of UNMC in the best interest of UNMC’s customers.
- Promote and acknowledge individual accountability for organization success.
- Create and foster an environment of learning and communication.
- Raise the standard on quality, and have high expectations for performance.
- Respect individuals for their cultures, contributions and points of view.
- Pursue excellence in a professional, ethical manner.
Recipients of the Gold U are honored at a breakfast with UNMC Chancellor Jeffrey P. Gold, M.D., and receive:
- A Gold U pin;
- A $100 cash award;
- A UNMC Gold U certificate signed by Dr. Gold;
- An invitation to the Annual Service Award Dinner in June;
- Recognition at a Board of Regents meeting that includes a Board of Regents “Kudos” certificate, signed by University of Nebraska President Hank Bounds, Ph.D.; and
- A career development award of up to $2,500.
