Veteran’s Day is coming up on November 11.
It’s never too early to start looking for your photos of veterans and active service members who are part of the UNMC family.
UNMC is asking you to share your photos on Veteran’s Day with #UNMCVets on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram to honor their service to our country.
“Sharing photos of members of the UNMC family using the #UNMCVets hashtag allows us to honor these brave warriors,” said Abby Meyer, social media specialist. “We want photos not only of members of the UNMC community, but also their loved ones, who have served or are still serving.”
Do you only want photos of those who are still living? My father-in-law was a big part of UNMC and the VA for a long time, but as with so many a WWII vet, he is no longer with us. I do have a couple of great photos of him, though – in uniform and later, and would love to include him in this.
