Print Services, Mail Services, General Supply and Facilities, Management and Planning will hold an open house in the new materials management location at 601 S. Saddle Creek Road from 1 to 3 p.m. on Wednesday.
Visitors can learn about
- Print services’ new online ordering store;
- Mailing regulations and best practices;
- General Supply’s shipping and receiving; and
- Facilities’ inventory and delivery service.
The open house will feature demos, door prizes, giveaways and more. The new location is at Annex 22, in the old OPPD building at the corner of Emile Street and Saddle Creek Road in the northwest corner of Lot 17.
“Co-locating Material Management has led to an increase in efficiency by ‘singling up’ duplicate functions being performed by each area,” said Robert Jennings, senior manager, materials management. “The building is easily accessible and the internal layout has greatly enhanced the work flow. Printing Services has moved the operation to a digital environment and added a new online ordering system, and the material function has eliminated duplicate processes and streamlined routes to reduce delivery times.”
