Do you find yourself squinting at that book you are reading or moving the menu further and further away to be able to read it?
Nearsightedness or farsightedness (refractive errors) are common and plague a large portion of the population. At noon on Oct. 20, Brent Timperley, M.D., of UNMC’s Truhlsen Eye Institute, will discuss refractive errors at the October Olson Center Brown Bag Lecture.
Dr. Timperley will discuss causes of, and treatments for, refractive errors, including surgical treatments. He also will discuss how to identify people who are good candidates for the procedure.
Seating is limited; please pre-register by calling the Olson Center at 559-6345. Bring your lunch. Simple refreshments will be provided.
The lectures are free. However, nursing credit can be obtained at a cost of $10. Payment instructions will be given when at pre-registration.
